COMMUNITY FOOD BANKS

Alabama has well organized area food banks that supply member agencies to assist in feeding people in need. Sometimes, these agencies also have pet food although they may restrict assistance to a defined service area.  For information about food banks in your area, visit http://www.alfoodbanks.org

Animal shelters occasionally have a surplus of food that can be obtained. This may not be a regular assistance program, but is based on surplus.
